It's Friday
night, the kids have been off all week for half term and Mr
JibberJabber has been up to his eyes at the office. The weekend has
landed and it's time to head out for some family time just like the
Italians do.
There's a
variety of restaurants and bars down the Ecclesall Road (or the Eccie
Road as it is known locally) in Sheffield and we made our way to
Prezzo. They have started doing a sharing bowl in a choice of
four flavours known as La Famiglia.
For our La
Famiglia sharing bowl we chose the Penne All Rusticana.
It's a tasty combination of chicken, pancetta and peppers all wrapped
up in a pomdoro sauce infused with rosemary. We also added garlic
bread pizza topped with balsamic onions and mozzarella, a mixed salad
and the very moreish truffle oil infused fries which are topped with
Italian cheese and a sprinkling of parsley.
Master
JibberJaber is the Garlic Bread Monster. You have to make sure you
get your portion before it all mysteriously disappears! His hands may
be small but they move quickly!
When Miss
JibberJabber was born we always suspected she was more bambina
than baby. She has always had a love of pasta whether it is in a rich
tomato sauce or a creamy cheese one.
Mr
JibberJabber Friday night is the time of the week he looks forward
to. The working week is behind him and now is the time to relax. What
better way to do than with a big bowl of comfort food?
And me? I'm
just glad there's a meal on the table for all the family and I've not
had to plan it, buy the ingredients or make it! Nothing tastes better
than a meal that has been cooked for you!
Room for
pud? Of course there was when you can have chocolate and sea salt
gelato or ice cream with strawberry pieces in it.
Thank you
Prezzo for a lovely evening. We left with full bellies and smiles on
our faces as we made our way home in the rain of a summer's evening.
This is an

Making me want to eat now! Commenting for myself and on behalf of BritMums and thanking you for taking part
