Sunday Snap – The Brick City

We were at Revolution House plotting against the king for last week's Sunday Snap. I asked which King and Queen came to the throne after the Glorious Revolution and the answer is

William III (William of Orange) and Mary II

Conspiring with the right answer were Susan, Kara, Cheryl and Anne.

We're off to Windsor for this week's Sunday Snap but not to visit the Queen this time. Between 1969 and 1992 this site was home to Windsor Safari Park. The company running the park ran into financial difficulties and the park was closed with the land being sold to a Danish toy company. Four years later the new theme park opened to the public. It was based on an existing park in Billund, Denmark. Situated on the side of a hill the only thing that remains from the old safari park is the funicular railway known as the Hill Train. The above photograph was taken in the Miniland section of the park. This is a miniature village featuring towns and cities across the world. In this section alone over 40 million plastic bricks are used to make the exhibits. Such is the popularity of the park that with over 2 million visitors a year it is the most visited theme park in the UK. This week's question is

What is the name of the theme park?

We were joined last week by Susan with face painting and sunsets. Kara has been at swimming lessons and seeing the new born lambs. It's been carnival time in Dunkirk for Cheryl. All the family were getting involved with the jigsaw at Anne's. In Belgium Sofie has been capturing sunsets and signs of spring. Dressing up and getting fabulous was Laura. Finally, Lisa has been exploring the Pura Nature Reserve.

If you want to join in with this week's Sunday Snap then add your link to the linky below. Any theme is allowed. It doesn't have to be published today as you have until 23.55 on Friday 24th 2017 to join in. Grab my badge below for your blog post.
