Our trip in last week's
Sunday
Snap was to the Derbyshire house built by Elizabeth Shrewsbury
better know as Bess. I asked what the house was called and the answer
is
Hardwick Hall
For this week we're going
across to Liverpool and a view across the River Mersey. From Albert
Dock you get a great panorama of the Wirral town the other side of
the river. Apart from Trafalgar Square this town has the most Grade I
listed buildings in one place. You can see why it caught my eye! In
the centre of the photograph is the spire of St. Mary's Tower in the
grounds of the Priory. The tall building is one of the six
ventilation stations for the Queensway Mersey Tunnel. The final
structure on the left viable in the skyline is the former town hall
now used as the local registry office. Out of sight to the south is
the model village of Port Sunlight.
Which Wirral town is this
the view of?
We were joined last week by
Sophie
who was getting snappy in the playground. Kara
caught someone hiding behind the curtains. Over in New Zealand Betty
took as on a tour of the beautiful flowers at Tupare Gardens. Making
the most of the snow was Susan's
duo. Out exploring the Dorset beaches again was Sarah.
Our Vegan
Taff Kelly has been capturing the most Welsh flower of all the
daffodil. Kara
was watching the birds by the water. Finally, Snoskred
took us for a walk along the coast.
