Sunday Snap – Dog Man

It seems I stumped everyone with last week's Sunday Snap of the London Christmas Tree. As I mentioned the tree comes from Norway each year. It is a gift from the people of Oslo as a token of gratitude for the assistance of the people of London during the World War II. The tree is placed between Nelson's Column and the National Gallery in...

Trafalgar Square

If you still want to see this year's tree you will need to be quick as it will be taken down tomorrow to be sent to the dreaded shredder.

We are still in London for this week's photograph. This area was once well-known for its flower, fruit and vegetable market. In the past 40 years it has been transformed into a retail space complete with cafés and bars. Throughout all its changes one thing that has remained are the street performers. Samuel Pepys made note in his diary in 1662 of a Punch and Judy show – the first known written mention of such a show in Britain. So from a man dressed as a dog to jugglers and fire eaters the tradition of street performers lives on to this day. This week's question is:

Where is this London location?

If you want to join in with this week's Sunday Snap then add your link to the linky below. Any theme is allowed. It doesn't have to be published today as you have until 23.55 on Friday 9th January 2015 to join in. Grab my badge below for your blog post. Just make sure it is your photo and you hold the copyright for it. I'll share my favourites with you next week and remember I do like a bit of a tale to go with a photo!

  7. Ah.. street performers! This was definitely the new trend last time I was there. It's moved on a bit from the golden performers and the levitating people!
