Straight in with the correct answer for last week's Sunday Snap of The Surviving Abbey was Rachel of Beauty Queen UK. Also known as The Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin it was:
I'll also give a special
mention to Kate of Musings of a 21st Century Stay At Home Mum who knew it was Tewkesbury
Abbey as she has had the privilege of singing there!
For this week's Sunday Snap
I have a guest photographer in the form of Miss JibberJabber. Her
beady little eye spotted this row of colourful doors while we were
out and about one weekend. Although it seems one person
was more interested in the notice on the black door. This is a town we have often found
ourselves in partly due to family connections. My father was born
here and the churchyards of the surrounding villages are littered
with the graves of my long dead relatives. The town boasts of a
ruined castle, where King John died and which eventually became a
victim of the Civil War, two railway stations and a parish church
with the tallest spire in the county.
So which town are these
doors in? Clever people can also tell me the street name.
For some added fun this week
I'm also opening up a linky for any other photos of colourful doors
you want to share be it a single door or a complete row. Just make
sure it is your photo and you hold the copyright for it. I'll share
my favourites with you next week. If you can't link them below send them to me on my social media accounts:
