Sunday Snap – Banksy or Fakesy?

Although there was much admiration for last week's Sunday Snap of The Colourful Doors its location remains a mystery until now...The doors and the buildings they are attached to can be found in:

Wilson Street, Newark-on-Trent

The River Trent has played an important part in Newark's history as it was once home to a large number of breweries. Sadly there is only one remaining now. As I mentioned last week I have family connections to Newark-on-Trent. My great-great-great-grandfather started the Cromwell Brewery, complete with Oliver Cromwell pub next door, in Newark-on-Trent – a town known for its Royalist allegiances. Make of that what you will.

I gave a call out for any other coloured doors last week and received this fabulous blue gilded door at Wroclaw University in Poland from Agata at Bark Time.

Enough now of last week's shenanigans. This week's Sunday Snap is of some street art. Mr JibberJabber is particularly fond of a good piece of street art g is has to be art. Not mindless vandalism or pointless tagging. One of his favourite street artists is the enigma known as Banksy. He has been a bit busy recently with his work cropping up in Folkstone, Clacton (although the council removed it not realising what it was!) and possibly Battersea. That's the thing with Banksy. Some work he makes claims on by publishing them on his website while others are by copycat artists.

The piece above is similar to to a famous Banksy work of a rioter throwing a bunch of flowers. This one is situated on the side of a fish market in a town on the English Riviera. This week's therefore is:

Which town is this street art in?

As per last week I'm opening up a linky for any other photos of street art you want to share. Grab my badge below for your blog post. Just make sure it is your photo and you hold the copyright for it. I'll share my favourites with you next week.
