Sunday Snap - Pier at sunset

I take lots of photographs but don't always get the opportunity to share them. I took this picture at 9 o'clock at night. I know it was that time because we had already been given our five minute warning that the pier was going to shut. At the end of the pier were two people talking and standing still and spoiling my view! Thankfully the pier attendant took pity on me and let me take my photo after he had politely asked them to leave.

Question for today is – where is this pier located?

Technical details: Canon 1100D, Canon 18-55mm, Focal length 18mm, 1/20sec @ F10, ISO 100. Photograph as taken - no cropping, editing or enhancements.

  1. The attendant was very kind. Your picture is very calming, a bit of peace after a bust day.

    1. I was lucky with the attendant as he could have shooed us off. It was such a beautiful night so I didn't want to waste the light.

    1. The planks do lead your eye down don't they? Sadly we never had time to walk to the end!

    1. My father loves piers and is a member of the National Piers Society so we seek them out while they are still standing!
